Don’t Shoot Me
At our local Texaco convenience store I was stooped over cleaning out my car before putting the required 75 cents into the car-vacuum when I heard this voice behind me say, “Don’t shoot me”.
A Thief
We operate a small plush vending business in Southeastern, Arizona. One day after servicing a machine I left it unlocked by mistake. When I went to service the machine the next day all the money was gone. That started me to thinking about character, property rights, and being a thief.

Why Call Me Lord
Lilly (that was not her real name) had worked for us long enough to work her way up to be the office manager of our business. She was tall and slender, with long blond hair, a round face punctuated with big baby blue eyes, and a smile that would melt an anvil. She had a confident telephone voice and she handled walk in customers very comfortably.

My wife and I were coming home from a weekend in Mexico, traveling with our youngest son and his family. I was sitting in the front seat forcing myself to study the Arizona Drivers Manual instead of joining in on the fun or rehearsing the weekend.
Going Home
Our family, we like to camp, to go places, to see new things, and to meet new people. We also like to travel back to some of the same places we have been before, to renew acquaintances, and to visit friends and relatives. Continue reading Going Home
